Young Bowers sharpshooter turns Grays

Hirst heads to Athletic


We reported on the departure of a Grays Athletic forward yesterday, so it's perhaps appropriate that we can now report on the arrival of another, as Luke Hirst moves to Parkside from Premier Division Bowers and Pitsea.

Luke made three appearances for Rob Small's first team last season, but was prolific for their Under 23 side, scoring seventeen times in seven matches. He managed twenty six goals for the youth side at the Len Salmon during 2018-19, and earned a three month spell in Sweden at what should have been the tail end of last season, before events outside his control got in the way.

Prior to his time at Bowers, he was the Academy Player of the Year at Dagenham and Redbridge, and had a trial at Charlton Athletic.
