All change for Swans

Staines owner- and manager- to step down at the end of the season

Staines Town have announced that owner/Chairman Matthew Boon's search for a new owner for the Wheatsheaf Park club is expected to come to a successful conclusion shortly- and that Swans manager Johnson 'Drax' Hippolyte has decided to step down at the end of the season.

Whilst Boon's imminent replacement will come as no surprise to the Staines faithful- he has been entirely open about his wish to step down- the departure of Drax will undoubtedly send shock waves, particularly as the Swans still entertain playoff ambitions. In a statement, the popular manager explained:

“After long discussions with my family and management team I have decided not to wait and speak to the prospective new owners but have informed Matt that I will step down at. The end of the season.

It goes without saying that we will leave no stone unturned in trying to make sure the team finishes in as high a position as possible.

Please tell the supporters they have been brilliant and thanks for their support.”
