Bostik League fixtures released!

They’re finally here! It’s time for you to once more start worrying about promotion and relegation, to start planning your away trips, and to say goodbye to spending Saturday afternoons watching repeats of Midsomer Murders whilst being delighted that you don’t live there. Football is back! Well, almost.

Our Bostik League season starts on Saturday 12th August and the first matchday throws up some very interesting fixtures. Premier Division title favourites Billericay Town entertain former manager Craig Edwards and his Kingstonian team, whilst the side many tipsters pick as their closest rivals, Dulwich Hamlet, start their campaign with the visit of Drax Hippolyte and his Swans. Perennial fast starters Leiston welcome Dorking Wanderers to beautiful Suffolk (tip for the travelling fans, nearby Aldeburgh has some of the best fish and chips in Britain), whilst there’s a clash of the new boys at Imperial Fields where Tooting & Mitcham United face Brightlingsea Regent.

Division One North sees defeated play-off finalists Maldon & Tiptree travel to Hertfordshire to face Ware, whilst supporter owned Grays Athletic’s attempt to bounce back after relegation starts with a trip to Tilbury. Pick of the fixtures in Division One South looks to be the match between Hastings United and Corinthian Casuals, both of whom bowed out at the play off stage last season, both on penalties to Dorking Wanderers.
