Bostik Supporters Predictions 18/19: Bowers and Pitsea

We asked supporters of our Bostik League clubs to preview the new season, reflect on the old and predict the final outcome. Their predicted 1-20 (or 22) will be worked into a final table which you will see just before the big kick off.

Stuart Watkinson, on behalf of Bowers & Pitsea, is convinced that this will be their year- and seems to be the father of a mini Lewis Manor!

1. What was your favourite moment of last season?

Going on the coach to Norwich United Away. The weather absolutely freezing but the atmosphere was great, we sang throughout and the coach journey home was cracking despite the 1-1 draw.

2. And your worst moment?

Driving all the way to Egham Town in the FA Trophy. 20 mins later: postponed due to floodlight failure!!

3. How will you do this season?

Play offs minimum but let’s be positive and win it!

4. Which matches are you most looking forward to going to- and why?

The games against Basildon United should be interesting, as well as Canvey. The first game at home with the new pitch should be good- plus any away matches as the atmosphere is so much better.

5. What is your favourite away ground?

From last season: Soham Town Rangers (not just because we won 2-0).
6. Who do you consider your biggest rivals- and why?

Canvey due to the play offs- and they will be there or thereabouts.

7. What advice would you give to any away supporter visiting you for the first time?

Buy a programme and enjoy a beer! Bowers is a friendly club and have supporters who enjoy some good natured banter!

8. Who is your favourite player of all time (for your club)- and why?
Lewis Manor. His general play is second to none , plus my 4 year old will go to a match and then pretend he is Lewis Manor when playing in the garden afterwards!!

9. Who will be in the top five at the end of the season?
Bowers & Pitsea, Heybridge Swifts, Canvey Island, Maldon & Tiptree, Bury Town.
