Cheshunt manager Tony Faulkner has brought ex-Arsenal striker Omer Riza to the Ryman North's Theobalds Lane to work alongside him as his new assistant manager.

Riza, 33, has played across Europe and will act as player-assistant manager at the Ambers following his appointment this week.

The former Arsenal youth teamer, pictured, spent the second half of last season at Chelmsford City after turning out for both Boreham Wood and Histon since his return from playing abroad.

Riza, who enjoyed seven seasons in the Turkish Super League after spells at Arsenal and West Ham, has also played for Aldershot and Shrewsbury.
