Frost and snow wreck Saturday programme

By Peter Butcher

ALL but eight of tomorrow's fixtures have already been postponed because of frozen or snowbound pitches, including the entire Ryman Premier programme.

Tommy McMillan's picture of Bognor's Nyewood Lane sums up the scene at most clubs.

There are inspections in the morning for the following Ryman South matches; Crawley Down v Chipstead, Dulwich v Maidstone, Eastbourne v Tooting, Ramsgate v Leatherhead, Walton Casuals v Horsham and Worthing v Walton & Hersham. The other five games have been postponed.

In the North, nine of the 11 matches are off after as 7pm inspection ruled out Heybridge's game against Potters Bar. A morning inspection is planned for Ware's home game against Maldon; no information has been received about Redbridge v Thamesmead.
