Green Lions get the green light for new ground

Guernsey to have a new stadium in time for 2021/22 season

Guernsey FC have confirmed that the States of Guernsey Planning Service have given permission for a new ground- and a new home for all Guernsey football- at Victoria Avenue.

Currently the Victoria Avenue site provides training facilities for the Green Lions, GFA Academy, Guernsey Ladies FC and Belgrave Wanderers, but the new stadium will be the home of the Guernsey FA, as well as being used by Guernsey FC, for GFA representative matches, and to provide a community 3G facility for the whole island.

GFC chairman Mark Le Tissier stated:

“The successful outcome of the planning process and the eventual completion of the project will secure the long-term future for GFC and will continue the journey that football development in Guernsey is on. GFC is extremely grateful to the GFA Board and staff for their support, particularly CEO Gary Roberts who has worked patiently and diligently to see through this part of the project.“
