Ryman Premier Leiston are looking for a new manager after Danny Laws resigned on Monday.

Laws, pictured, took over at the Blues in March and walked away from Victory Road following a meeting with Chairman Andy Crisp.

Laws replaced interim manager Lee Norfolk at the end of March and helped the club achieve its highest ever position in May when the Blues finished last season's top flight campaign in 12th spot.

After a successful pre-season and the acquisition of several experienced personnel, expectations had been high at Victory Road, especially after a good start to the season. But after just one win - a Suffolk Premier Cup victory at Haverhill Rovers - in eleven matches and the Blues currently fourth from bottom, the former Needham Market manager called time on his reign.

In a statement, the Blues paid tribute to their former manager and said: "The club have placed on record its thanks to Danny Laws for his outstanding contribution in the short time at the club, not just with first-team matters, but in helping shape the club as a whole."

Leiston are at home to Wealdstone on Saturday in the FA Trophy's First Qualifying Round.
