Leaders sign striking legend Sole

Dorking Wanderers have added former Woking star Giuseppe Sole to their table-topping Ryman South squad.

The Cards legend and striker could feature for the Surrey club on Saturday at Ramsgate after signing for Wanderers manager and chairman Marc White on Thursday. A free-kick specialist, the 28-year-old former England C international scored more than 100 goals in a decade at Woking.

Signed by Alan Dowson at 2016 Ryman Premier champions Hampton & Richmond Borough in July, pictured, he's been with Ryman Premier Leatherhead this season after being unable to command a place in the starting line-up at the Beveree and joining the Tanners on dual registration forms.

One of Woking's all-time top goalscorers, local boy Sole's goals tally included a record breaking run of 13 in nine consecutive league matches. Apart from a brief spell with Newport County, he also spent time on loan at Ebbsfleet United, Havant & Waterlooville and Basingstoke.
