Leyton Orient in cup final triumph

O's win the Isthmian Women's Cup, sponsored by Reposs

Leyton Orient last night overcame the stubborn challenge of Ashford Town to win the Isthmian Women's Cup, sponsored by Reposs. The O's, who are currently in fourth place in the Women's National League Division One South East, won the match at Aveley FC 2-0.

Town, who were the underdogs despite having a remarkably successful season which recently saw them pick up the Capital Woman's Intermediate Cup, fought valiantly against their illustrious opponents but eventually came up short. However they've lifted trophy after trophy in recent seasons, and look on course to go on to further success in the future.

Ashford defeated Charlton Athletic, Margate and Whyteleafe to reach the Final, whilst Orient defeated Enfield Town, Tonbridge Angels and Harlow Town.

We hope to have more images from the Final later today. Thanks to Stuart Fuller for the headline image.
