Rocks move up to fourth

By Peter Butcher

BOGNOR climbed four places to fourth in the Ryman Premier table with a 3-1 victory at Cray tonight (Tuesday).

Cray have won just one of their last 11 league games and this was their seventh home defeat.

Ashley Robinson’s 13th-minute opener for Rocks was quickly answered by Leigh Bremner. But James Crane restored Bognor’s lead three minutes before the interval and Harvey Whyte, who has just rejoined the club from Havant, added the third with 15 minutes left.

John Sands scored his 14th goal of the season to give Bury a 1-0 victory at Canvey. It came after 24 minutes and lifted Bury one place to seventh, although they are only one point behind second-placed Wealdstone. Canvey dropped to fifth.
