A collection of new Moatsiders

Tom Collins, Richie Mbele, Tobi Ogundega and Ben Jordan are new at Merstham

Pitching In Isthmian South East side Merstham have prepared for the Christmas period by signing, well, lots of people!

Striker Tom Collins comes in on loan from Kingstonian, for one month. Tom rejoined the K's in March, and was a big part of their eventual Premier survival, scoring five goals in eight matches. He's added three more goals this season.

Tom joined the K's from Haywards Heath Town. He had scored twelve goals for Heath before his departure, which followed a productive 2021-22 for both Hanwell Town and Chipstead. He managed thirteen goals for the Chips before becoming a Geordie, where he added fifteen more.

That was his second spell with Hanwell Town, and he previously played for Walton Casuals, Enfield Town, Hayes & Yeading United, Egham Town, Metropolitan Police, Hampton & Richmond Borough, Wealdstone, Tonbridge Angels, Bishop's Stortford and more, after starting life at a higher level with Stevenage and Stockport County.

Richie Mbele comes in from Harrow Borough. The midfielder was an Academy product at AFC Wimbledon before moving to Borough, where he was part of the Under 23 squad before graduating to the first team. He made his debut against Sittingbourne on Saturday.

Tobi Ogundega comes in on loan from Sutton United. The centre back has most recently been on loan at Bognor Regis Town, where he made two appearances.

His period with the Rocks wasn't Tobi's first Isthmian experience, as he spent some time at Kingstonian at the start of last season, making a dozen appearances. He had moved to Gander Green Lane only a short time before this loan move, after playing Under 18 football for MK Dons, and spent the closing stages of last season on loan at Salisbury in Pitching In Southern South Premier.

Ben Jordan moves to the club from South Park Reigate. Midfielder Ben has made fifteen appearances for the Sparks this season, scoring three goals- and that followed twenty nine appearances and five goals last season, and twenty six with one goal during 21-22.
