A Grays duo

By Ian Townsend

Anthony Page and Matas Skarna are new at Grays Athletic

Pitching In Isthmian North side Grays Athletic yesterday announced two new arrivals, both designed to strengthen the defence.

Goalkeeper Anthony Page ended last season at East Thurrock United, making fourteen appearances, having started the campaign at Hashtag United playing eight times. He has a great deal of experience, much of it in our North Division- turning out for Heybridge Swifts, Brentwood Town, Waltham Abbey, Romford, Ware, Enfield Town and Dulwich Hamlet, as well as having an earlier spell at Athletic.

This season has seen him play once for Brightlingsea Regent and far more often for Tilbury, the Dockers these days in the Essex Senior League.

Defender Matas Skarna comes in on loan from Premier club Concord Rangers, where he has made thirteen appearances this season. He previously played for Hashtag United at youth level, and has already spent time this season on loan at one of our former clubs, Great Wakering Rovers.
