A Hornet at the seaside

Tom Kavanagh signs on loan for Folkestone Invicta

Folkestone Invicta gave a debut to Horsham's Tom Kavanagh in their home win over Canvey Island on Saturday, the midfielder emerging from the bench on sixty four minutes to play his part in earning three valuable points.

Tom signed for the Hornets in the summer of 2021. This season he has played twenty two times, including in FA Cup ties against Dorking Wanderers, Barnsley and Sutton United- which followed thirty four appearances and six goals last season, and forty seven with thirteen goals during 21-22.

Tom moved to Horsham from Kingstonian, where he managed eleven appearances and two goals in our very much reduced 2020-21 campaign, which followed forty and ten the season before- rather impressive, particularly considering we didn't finish that one either! Tom was a big part of the Merstham side which reached the Premier Playoff Final in 2018-19, and previously played for the likes of Sutton United, Met Police, Whitehawk, Canvey Island and Dulwich Hamlet.
