A K's double

By Ian Townsend

Niran Butler and Joel Nakatani-Brown are new at Kingstonian

Kingstonian have announced the signing of two new defenders, Niran Butler and Joel Nakatani-Brown.

Niran came through the youth setup at Barnet, and first came to our attention in the summer of 2019 when he signed for Staines Town, where he made fifteen appearances. He moved on to play for Maldon and Tiptree in summer of 2020, and made fourteen appearances as a Jammer before the second campaign in a row came to a premature end.

He has made ten appearances for Sutton Common Rovers during 21-22, the last of them, with some irony, as Rovers lost four-two to Westfield. He must have done something to impress then Westfield and now K's boss Simon Lane, as he was quickly signed by the Woking Park club. He made thirty four appearances for the Pitching In Isthmian South Central side last season.

Joel is also another former Westfield player, and indeed played alongside Niran during 21-22, and indeed made thirty two appearances for the club during his second and final season there. He moved on last season to Pitching In Southern side Royston Town, making thirty appearances. He previously turned out for FC Romania, Cockfosters and- briefly- for Walthamstow.
