A Margate midfielder

Bivesh Gurung swaps Sweden for the seaside

Margate have announced the signing of midfielder Bivesh Gurung, who has most recently been plying his trade in Sweden for Ytterhogdals IK- and we're delighted we just have to write that, rather than say it!

Bivesh came through the Crystal Palace Academy after moving there from Maidstone United, and earlier this year had trials with Chelsea. He has also played in Norway for Trysil FK.

Manager Jay Saunders told the club website:

"I am really pleased to formally introduce Bivesh to Margate supporters. He’s been a part of the group for a few weeks now, but we have had to be patient waiting for international clearance which has now been granted for him.

Bivesh is a really good technical player who gives us more competition in the middle of the park. He has got a great attitude and is a player I feel can add further quality to our squad.”
