A new Wall at Brentwood

Ross Wall leaves Heybridge Swifts for Brentwood Town

Brentwood Town last night announced the surprise signing of forward Ross Wall from Pitching In Isthmian North rivals Heybridge Swifts.

Ross has had a fine season for Swifts. The number nine has delivered thirteen goals and leaves his former club in fourth place, and, of course, with a run to the Third Round of the FA trophy which will live long in the memory of the Scraley Road faithful. Ross scored the opening goal in that magnificent win over Hereford.

Prior to his time with Swifts, Ross spent some of last season with AFC Sudbury, making seventeen appearances, and some with Coggeshall Town, making another thirteen at the start of the campaign and twelve more at the end of it. He had been a big part of the Seed Growers side since before their Isthmian days, scoring regularly in their Thurlow Nunn promotion season and being a first team regular ever since.

He previously played for another side with an AFC ahead of their name, our very own Hornchurch, spending two seasons as an Urchin, and prior to that played for our late lamented Thurrock. Earlier in his career he played for Concord Rangers and Great Wakering Rovers and Maldon & Tiptree.
