A Robins trio

Iffy Allen, Walter Figueira and Calvin Ekpiteta are new arrivals for Carshalton Athletic

Carshalton Athletic have announced three exciting new signings as preparations for the forthcoming season continue.

Iffy Allen moves over from National League South side Hampton & Richmond Borough, to where he moved from our very own Lewes last February. Iffy made twenty eight appearances for the Rooks last season, scoring twice, before becoming a Beaver.

A youth with Fulham and Barnet, he also has Isthmian experience with Kingstonian, Wingate & Finchley and Dulwich Hamlet, and away from our ranks has played much higher up the pyramid, for Yeovil Town, Aldershot United, Wrexham, Torquay United, and more recently Ebbsfleet United and Maidstone United.

Calvin Ekpiteta ended last season with Potters Bar Town, after also playing for Kingstonian and Margate.

Prior to his time at Hartsdown Park he was at Concord Rangers, but Isthmian League watchers are also likely to remember him from his time at Merstham.

Calvin originally joined the Moatsiders from Tilbury, and prior to that played for Wingate & Finchley, East Thurrock United, Bishop's Stortford, Greenwich Borough, Metropolitan Police, Grays Athletic and Aveley.

He began his career as a youth player with Dartford.

Walter Figueira ended last season with Kingstonian, making nineteen appearances and scoring three goals.

Walter was a critical part of Hayden's Merstham Playoff Finalists in 2018-19, scoring nineteen goals along the way. That form earned him a move to Ireland, where he played for Waterford, Derry City and Sligo Rovers.

Walter was a Chelsea youth as a youngster, playing regularly for the Under 18 and Under 21 sides at Stamford Bridge. He played for Hayes & Yeading United and then went off to play in Greece, before coming back to the UK and joining our ranks. He played half a dozen times for Bognor Regis Town and seven more for Wingate and Finchley, scoring his only goal for the club as they defeated Burges Hill Town in February 2017.

He then spent a short time in Portugal with Moura, before heading back our way once more, joining Dulwich Hamlet after their promotion to National League South. From there he moved to the Moatsiders, and you know the rest!
