A Rocks defensive duo

Ciaran Gordon-Stearn and Jack Hayes sign on at East Thurrock United

East Thurrock United have announced the signing of a goalkeeper and a centre back, as they prepare for the start of the new season.

Keeper Ciaran Gordon-Stearn has already spent a little time as a Rock, playing in the three-two defeat to Lewes back in February. He also spent a little time with Potters Bar Town last season, making three appearances- the first of those in a three-nil win over his new club. He played for both the Rocks and the Scholars whilst contracted to Concord Rangers, and has also spent time with Stotfold, Biggleswade United, Hitchin Town, Billericay Town and Staines Town. He spent his youth with Luton Town, and also spent a little time in Sweden with Gottne IF.

Centre back Jack Hayes has previously played for Coggeshall Town and Barking; indeed he made thirty nine appearances for the Blues over our two covid-hit campaigns. He ended last season a Seed Grower, scoring two goals from his eight matches- his second spell with the club.
