A Saturday Friendly Round Up

Here's what happened in Saturday's pre-season matches- with big scores for Billericay, Carshalton, Horsham, Cray Wanderers, Canvey Island and Kingstonian

We like to keep you up to date on what's happening to those clubs who haven't yet kicked a competitive ball, and- with a heavy reliance on social media- here's what Saturday brought.

Beckenham Town and Leatherhead drew two-two, whilst Biggleswade Town defeated Potters Bar Town three-one, Hervel with the Scholars goal.

Bowers & Pitsea and Welwyn Garden City drew one-one, Williamson scoring Bowers goal from the spot, whilst Brentwood Town went down five-nil to Billericay Town, Asamoah, Azeez, Emmanuel (2) and Johnson with the goals.

Carshalton Athletic scored five without reply against a young Bromley side, Bradford, Beaden, Oladipo (2) and Bassett for the Robins; whilst Chertsey Town defeated Weymouth U23's two-nil, Botti and Lede with the goals for the Curfews.

Cray Valley PM and Dulwich Hamlet delivered a five goal thriller, Hamlet three-two winners. Scott, Chambers and Krasniqi scored for Hamlet, Ademiluyi and Parker for the Millers. Enfield Town were two-one winners over Grays Athletic, Youngs and Thomas for the Towners, a trialist for Athletic.

Folkestone Invicta and Herne Bay played out a one-one draw, Carvalho levelling for Bay after Smith opened the scoring for the Stripes; and the same result occured as Hadley took on Wingate & Finchley. Haringey Borough and Walthamstow also ended with honours even, two-two. Aidoo and Bawling for the hosts.

Hastings United defeated Metropolitan Police three-nil, Akinwande, Walters and Fregene with the goals, whilst Heybridge Swifts fell three-nil to Hashtag United, Haysom and Cornhill amongst the scorers.

Horsham defeated Brightlingsea Regent six-two, Price, Hammond, Harding, Brivio and Mazzone all scoring in the first half for the Hornets, an own goal making it six near the end. Durling and Davis were Regents scorers. Lewes were defeated three-one by Ramsgate, a trialist scoring for the Rooks, Parter, Green and Splatt for the Rams.

Lowestoft Town were defeated four-one by Canvey Island, Fitzgerald the scorer for the hosts, whilst at another seaside Margate drew three-three with Sheppey United. Greenhalgh (2) and Roberts for Gate, Smith, Trialist and Bessey-Saldanha for the Ites.

Northwood fell four-two against Kingstonian, Otote and Tingey for the Woods, Collins (3) and Goather-Braithwaite notching for the K's. Image from Robin Piper.

South Park Reigate lost four-nil to Cray Wanderers, Clunis with two, Bamba and Campbell the others, and finally Hornchurch defeated Millwall U21's one-nil, Harvest delivering victory early on.
