A Sports trio

Tony Stokes, Jack Wilson and Clarence Emeh sign on for Hullbridge

Hullbridge Sports had a productive morning prior to their defeat to Stowmarket Town yesterday, and named each of their three new signings in the squad.

Tony Stokes is a name we know well, as he was recently at Tilbury, for whom he signed in October last year after departing Grays Athletic.

Tony started his career at West Ham United, playing on loan at Stevenage, Brighton and Hove Albion and Rushden and Diamonds, as well as spending some time in Hungary with Újpest.

He then spent a number of years with Concord Rangers, turned out for those other Islanders, Canvey Island, and has since played for Bowers and Pitsea and Brentwood Town. He made twenty four appearances for Athletic during the 2019-20 season, scoring thirteen goals, and had two more goals from five appearances during 20-21 before heading to Chadfields just before we shut down again. He managed only ten appearances in total for the Dockers, and immediately got his first Hullbridge goal yesterday.

Defender Jack Wilson comes in on loan from Stevenage, where he has played at Under 18 and Under 23 level, whilst striker Clarence Emeh has most recently been with Heybridge Swifts, but you will know him better from his time with Brightlingsea Regent and Grays Athletic. He has also played for Ilford.
