Gary Lockyer returns to Cray Wanderers

Cray Wanderers have announced the return to the club of striker Gary Lockyer.

Gary originally joined Wands from Ashford United at the start of last season, and made six appearances, scoring one goal, before heading back to the Nuts and Bolts. His return to United saw him score twenty one goals in thirty eight games.

The Nuts and Bolts originally signed Gary from neighbours Kennington midway through the 21-22 season, after he had already scored eighteen SCEFL goals. He added seventeen more in his thirty appearances in green and white.

Gary previously played for Ramsgate. He started out with Gravesend and Northfleet, had trials at Charlton Athletic and Aldershot Town, and spent many years playing for Lydd Town in the shadow of the nuclear power station. He won back to back promotions with Kennington.
