Abrahams out at the Jammers

Maldon & Tiptree part company with boss Paul Abrahams

Maldon and Tiptree have had a terrible start to their campaign, losing every game in the league and departing FA Cup and FA Trophy, with the only bright moment a Cup win over Haringey Borough. Last night the Jammers announced that they'd parted company with manager Paul Abrahams, who had been in charge since February- initially on an interim basis and, since the summer, as permanent boss.

A statement from Chairman Jerry Carter explained:

"Paul has worked tirelessly for the club and has certainly had his fair share of bad luck. I'm sad that Paul's tenure hasn't been a successful one and now we must look forward. I wish Paul and his family all the best for the future and thank him for everything he has given to the club."

Liam Bailey will take over as caretaker.
