Ackland departs the Row

Hartley Wintney boss Danny Ackland departs

Pitching In Isthmian South Central Hartley Wintney have announced the departure of manager Danny Ackland.

Danny has been in charge of The Row since the start of October, and eventually steered the side to a tenth place finish. They were in seventh place when he took over, but had played only five League matches at that point.

As a player, he played in the youth ranks at Charlton Athletic, but he became a senior manager at the tender age- for a boss- of twenty five, taking over at Wessex League side BAT. Early in his coaching career he coached in the USA, at Southampton, AFC Bournemouth, Chelsea and Ipswich Town, and steered Eastleigh's Under 18 side to great success.

He moved on to manage Alresford Town in 2020, and again proved extremely successful.

The club have promised a full statement later today.
