Adeniyi back at the Robins

Carshalton Athletic's new boss is their former boss- who leaves Merstham for pastures old

Carshalton Athletic have announced the appointment of a new manager, although he isn't really all that new! Peter Adeniyi returns to the club from Merstham, after only a year out of the Robins hot seat. He replaces Steve McKimm, who departed at the end of last season.

Peter resigned his managerial role at Athletic in April 2022, moving upstairs to become Director of Football, and was soon announced as the new man at Merstham, where he steered his charges to Pitching In Isthmian South Central survival via a relegation Play Off.

Adeniyi's prime achievement during his first period in charge was to steer the Robins to the Isthmian South Division title of 2017-18 (pictured), a campaign when they amassed one hundred and two points and he picked up the Manager of the Year Award. He then turned his side into a competitive Premier Division force, finishing second and fifth in their first two campaigns.
