Marlon Agyakwa makes a Brentwood Town debut

Brentwood Town moved up to fourth with a fine three-nil win at New Salamis on Saturday, and they were assisted by a first appearance from Marlon Agyakwa, newly arrived from Brightlingsea Regent.

Marlon has actually spent time with the Blues previously, a four game loan spell from Aveley last season which saw him score three goals. This season has seen the winger play twenty five times for Regent, with six goals- including in his final appearance for the club, against Wroxham last month.

Marlon came through the ranks at Southend United, and after leaving the Shrimpers stayed in the area with Canvey Island. He had two spells with the Gulls, the latest in 2018-19- when he played forty six times- after initially playing for three seasons.

He has also spent time with Oxford City and Didcot Town, and played for Tilbury, making thirty four appearances and scoring seven times.

His time at Aveley began at the start of the 22-23 season, but was hampered by injury. After that Brentwood loan he moved on to Stowmarket Town, where he managed eleven appearances, scoring once, before moving on to Grays Athletic, where he played fourteen times as the season came to a close.
