All change at Magpies

Dereham Town

Mike Baldry has stood down as the Chairman of Ryman League newcomers Dereham Town.

Baldry stepped aside at the Ryman North club's AGM on Monday due to work commitments and personal circumstances after three years at the helm. He is is replaced by Simon Barnes who returns to the role after a three year absence.

In playing news, the Magpies, who won promotion into the Ryman League as champions of the Eastern Counties League in May, also announced this week that three new faces had joined their successful squad from last season.

Danny Beaumont returns two years after being transferred for a four figure sum to King's Lynn Town where he helped the Linnets to two consecutive promotions. In his previous spell with the Magpies he scored 112 goals in 207 appearances.

Centre-forward Ross Gilfedder has arrived from Woodbridge Town after previously playing for Bishops Stortford. The striker was in the Academies at both Norwich City and Colchester United.

Midfielder Sam Willis also returns for a second spell after spending two years travelling the world. He was a member of the successful Dereham team that won the Norfolk Senior Cup in 2011.
