All roads lead to Sussex!

Chichester City, East Grinstead Town and Three Bridges play host to matches impacting on both ends of the table. It’s our Pitching In Isthmian South East preview

Our big match tonight sees fourth place Whitehawk head along the A27 to take on ninth place Chichester City. Our hosts start the day four points short of a play off spot with games in hand over most of the sides above them, and in fine form, eight games unbeaten. The Hawks are also in a good place, with only two defeats from ten and having won their last three, keeping three clean sheets and scoring eight goal in the process.

Cray Valley PM are also four points away from the top five, and the Millers, who got back to winning ways at the weekend, will move into seventh if they can win at East Grinstead Town. The Wasps were in good form but have seen that slip of late, losing their last two matches- and with only a four point gap between themselves and the bottom four will hope to put that right this evening. A Denzel Gayle goal separated their last meeting, back in August, in favour of the Millers.

Three Bridges find themselves only a point above the bottom four, albeit with games in hand, and would love to add three points tonight- but visitors Sheppey United will have something to say about that. Four points away from the play off places, the Ites have lost only one of their last ten- at Whitehawk on Saturday- but have won only one of their last six, four draws slowing down their progress. “Four draws” say Bridges, “we scoff at your four draws”- and indeed they do, having drawn six of their last seven, losing the other one.
