Ambers McKenzie new in Town

Taylor McKenzie returns to Enfield Town

Just prior to the start of the Christmas programme Enfield Town announced that they had strengthened their defence with the return of Taylor McKenzie.

Taylor was a youth player at Tottenham Hostpur, Norwich City and Sheffield Wednesday before taking his first professional steps at Notts County. He spent time at Wrexham, moved on to Chesham United, and became a Towner for the 2017-18 campaign, when he made thirty five appearances and helped out with four goals at the other end.

He then moved the short distance up the road to Cheshunt, where he became something of a club legend. He played an enormous part in their South Central Division promotion during 2018-19, making forty three appearances, and then went on to help his side establish themselves in our Premier Division, playing thirty two times before 19-20 came to a premature end and another eleven times in the tiny 20-21 campaign. When we got back to normal in 21-22 he helped his side to yet another promotion, playing forty one times- and notably scoring the last minute winner as the Ambers defeated Bishop's Stortford in the Play Off Semi-Final. He was then almost an ever-present in National League South and has played another sixteen times this season.
