Andy O’Brien is new at Merstham

Moatsiders bring in Uxbridge skipper

Merstham have announced an agreement to sign Uxbridge captain Andy O'Brien.

Centre back Andy made thirty four appearances for Uxbridge last season, after signing from 2020-21 Pitching In Isthmian South Central promotion winners Hanwell Town.

Andy made twenty three appearances for the Geordies during that promotion campaign, emerging from the bench in that crazy Play Off Final against Chertsey Town as the ten man visitors tried to hold on for victory. That was his fourth season with the club, and his eighty third appearance.

Prior to his time with Hanwell he played for Greystones United in Ireland and as a Geordie had loan time at Kensington & Ealing FC.
