It hasn't been much of a season for Kingstonian celebrations, but Easter Monday brought K's fans something to celebrate- even if the result at Chatham Town didn't go their way.
Between the sticks for their side that day- for the six hundred and fiftieth time- was legendary keeper Rob Tolfrey.
Rob made his six hundredth appearances for the club back in February of last year, extending his own appearance record- a record he broke in September 2021. It had previously been held by Micky Preston, and had stood since 1985!
He is pictured being handed champagne by K's boss Tutu Henriques, who was effusive in his praise of the veteran keeper on social media.
'Non-League is such a precious world. Rob has lived and breathed every one of those 650 appearances. He truly deserves his mythical status as a Kingstonian symbol of commitment and loyalty. What a man…what a keeper. When I grow up I want to be RT1!'
Congratulations on another milestone, Rob. We look forward to seven hundred!
