A duo for Brantham

Harry Honesty and Chris Regis make Brantham Athletic debuts

 

Brantham Athletic gave debuts to Harry Honesty and Chris Regis on Saturday. 

 

Harry was returning to one of his former clubs as Athletic took on Maldon & Tiptree. He made nine appearances for the Jammers in the closing stages of the 23-24 campaign, after making a mid season move from Brightlingsea Regent, where he made twenty nine appearances, scoring twice. More recetly he played for Frenford and Springfield. 

 

He ended the 22-23 season at Witham Town and managed fourteen appearances as they successfully fought off any threat of relegation. He headed to Witham after spending the first half of the campaign with Hullbridge Sports, making nineteen appearances. 

 

He was previously with Hashtag United, and indeed at the time of his departure was their record appearance holder- four years, one hundred and seven appearances  five assists, twenty five goals and two promotions under his belt. Harry has also played for East Thurrock United, Harlow Town, Tilbury, Thurrock and Haringey Borough.

 

Chris came through the ranks at Arsenal, played Under 18 football at Southampton, and was then an Under 21 at Colchester United before making the move into senior football at Port Vale. Torquay United, Truro City and Wealdstone were his next ports of call, before he first arrived as an Isthmian, playing for Coggeshall Town and making eight appearances at the start of the 18-19 campaign. He moved on to play for Cambridge City and Barton Rovers before joining Chalfont St Peter for the closing stages of the 21-22 campaign, and then spent the 22-23 season playing National League South football for Braintree Town. He started the 23-24 season with Bishop's Stortford, moved on to Folkestone Invicta in October- and played for the Stripes eleven times before heading back to National League South with Aveley. He spent some time with Concord Rangers, and this season has been with Canvey Island, playing five times and scoring once.
