Ascot United confirm loss of talisman Edwards
Ascot United have announced that defender and captain Josh Edwards will leave the club to join Isthmian South Central rivals Hayes & Yeading United.
Edwards bids farewell to the Yellamen after making 112 appearances since his debut for the club during the 2023/24 campaign.
The youngster will be an invaluable asset to a United side that finished a respectable ninth last season, 12 points adrift of AFC Portchester in the final play-off spot.
He will be joined at the Skyex Community Stadium by fellow new signings Joe Gater and Kurtis Cumberbatch, whose arrivals have been announced in the past 24 hours.
