Brickies boss Reece bows out

Sittingbourne part company with Reece Prestedge

Following Saturday's Pitching In Isthmian South East defeat at the hands of Steyning Town, Sittingbourne announced the departure of manager Reece Prestedge. Recent results have not fallen kindly for the Brickies, who have one win from their last eight in all competitions.

Reece completed nearly a year in the Brickies hot seat, taking over following the departure of Ryan Maxwell in November last year and steering his side to the Play Offs. He had also spent the 24-25 campaign as Maxwell's second in command. Under the duo Sittingbourne finished second in Pitching In Isthmian South East, amassing more than one hundred points, and reached the Quarter Finals of the FA Trophy.

Reece was previously the manager at Margate, departing Hartsdown Park in December 2023 after steering the Blues to a Kent Senior Cup triumph. As a player he turned out for Gate, Maidstone United, Bromley, East Thurrock United, Cheshunt and Bishop's Stortford, amongst others.
