Cureton out at City

Jamie Cureton and Cambridge City part company
Following last night's narrow defeat against title favourites Maldon & Tiptree, Cambridge City made the decision to part ways with boss Jamie Cureton.
We've included their statement in full, below.
Jamie has been in charge at City since the summer of last year. He steered them to a mid table finish last season, a campaign which finally saw them return to a permanent home of their own at the end of November. The current campaign has not started well, with only one win from their opening seven matches.

Prior to joining City, Jamie was Player/Assistant at Maldon and Tiptree, and spent three years in charge of Enfield. Before his time with the E's he was, as we're sure you will remember, rather successful as a player and a manager at Bishop's Stortford. His playing career is the stuff of legend; more than one thousand competitive appearances and more than three hundred and fifty goals to go with them, at a myriad of clubs including Norwich City, Bristol Rovers, Queens Park Rangers, Colchester United, Exeter City and Dagenham & Redbridge.
