Alfie Cutbush swaps Stanway for the Island
Canvey Island have brought in Alfie Cutbush from Pitching In Isthmian Premier side Stanway Rovers.
Alfie left Ipswich Town in the summer of 2024 and ended up at Heybridge Swifts, for whom he played forty three times during the 24-25 season.
Whilst a Tractor Boy the midfielder had a number of Isthmian loan spells. He had a spell at Bury Town during the early stages of the 22-23 campaign, where he made six appearances before heading back to his parent club just after Christmas- and he later went on to spend time at Stowmarket Town during the same campaign, playing five times. He also spent some loan time at Concord Rangers whilst they were still a National League South side.
Early in 25-26 he signed for Wingate and Finchley, but seems to have played only once, and then went on to Herne Bay, playing twenty three times, before ending last season at Rovers, winning promotion and playing twenty times. He has made six League appearances and scored two goals so far this season, and may get to make a Gulls debut at Grays Athletic on Saturday.
