Dockers and Oysterboys take the points
Brickies and Rams hoped to narrow the gap to the leaders- but Erith and Whitstable had other ideas
Erith Town were the hosts for third place Sittingbourne in Pitching In Isthmian South East, the Dockers looking for a first win in four- and they had a fine start, Deven Reid-Solanki putting them ahead with only three minutes on the clock. On twenty minutes Jefferson Aibangbee made it two, but nine minutes from time Bagasan Graham got a goal back for the Brickies and set up an exciting finale. The hosts held on, however, and climb to fifth. Boss Aaron Jeffrey was presented with a Shepherd Neame Performance of the Month Award for August before the game- congratulations once more, and thanks again to our sponsors for their support.
Whitstable Town and fourth place Croydon Athletic couldn’t manage a first half goal between them on the Kent coast, but the Oysterboys got one twelve minutes into the second half, Dean Grant giving them the lead. Three minutes from time they got another, Robbie Rees scoring from the spot, and the Oysterboys climbed to eleventh.
