Former Celtic legend new at the Jammers

Gary Hooper signs on at Maldon and Tiptree
Maldon and Tiptree have added former Celtic legend Gary Hooper to their ranks.
The forward, who played for the Jammers predecessors Maldon Town in his youth, is perhaps best known for his two Scottish Premier League titles and two Scottish Cup wins with the Glasgow giants, but has also turned out for the likes of Norwich City, Sheffield Wednesday and Southend United. Alongside the honours already mentioned, he picked up the Scottish Premier Golden Boot in 2011-12 and was in the Scottish PFA team of the year for both seasons he played at Celtic Park.
Prior to his professional career he was part of the Grays Athletic side which won the FA Trophy twice, as well as winning the Conference South title.
Since his time in the English Football League he has played in New Zealand, India, Cyprus and the UAE, and more recently has had spells at Barnet and Kettering Town.
