Four more for Rayners Lane

Four more for Rayners Lane

Deshane Dalling, David Ijahi, Mo Kamara and Remy Bennison are the latest to land at Lane

Deshane Dalling, David Ijahi, Mo Kamara and Remy Bennison were confirmed as new arrivals at Pitching In Isthmian South Central side Rayners Lane on Friday.

Winger Deshane Dalling comes in from Phoenix Sports, where he has made fourteen appearances and scored three goals.

He spent time with Ramsgate last season, playing twice, and was previously with Lewes, where he played thirteen times last season, and he made eight appearances during the 22-23 season following nineteen during 21-22. He also spent time on loan at Whitehawk during 22-23, playing twice.

Previously Deshane was a youth player with Staines Town, before moving on to the Academies at Huddersfield Town and Queens Park Rangers. He played professionally for the latter, and had loan spells at Cork City and Wealdstone before moving permanently to Hemel Hempstead Town, before swapping life as a Tudor for life as a Dart, moving to Dartford.

Midfielder David Ijaha has made nineteen appearances for Cray Wanderers this season, and that followed forty four last season and thirty after signing early in the 22-23 campaign.

Whitehawk fans, particularly,  will remember David warmly, as he was an enormous part of their sides success when they were in National League South- and indeed came as close as extra time to earning promotion to the next step up. He also had his own song, as we recall, to the tune of Escape by Rupert Holmes!

Prior to his time with the Hawks, David played Academy football with Chelsea and Wolves before joining our ranks at Harrow Borough. St Albans City and Tonbridge Angels were next in line, and a short spell with Hayes & Yeading United before the Hawks came calling. His next step was upwards, as he was snapped up by Plymouth Argyle, whose Assistant boss, Craig Brewster, had coached him at the Enclosed Ground. Injury brought that spell to an end, and it was back to Whitehawk. Welling United was the next destination, and he then turned out for Dulwich Hamlet and Dartford, before another- albeit short- spell at the Enclosed Ground.

Mo Kamara comes in from Potters Bar Town. Midfielder Mo played twenty six times for the Scholars during 22-23, and has played six times this season.

He joined the Scholars from Herne Bay, where he has played twenty times this season, scoring once, which followed twenty three appearances- and one goal- last season. He also spent some time with Faversham Town, and split those two Herne Bay spells by playing fourteen times for Margate at the end of last season.

Mo ended the 21-22 season with Ashford United, playing eight times, and indeed started their Play Off Final defeat against... Herne Bay. He also spent a previous spell at Margate, for whom he played eight times in the early part of 21-22. He spent the middle part of the same season with Whitehawk, playing twenty two times.

Mo has had three spells with the Nuts and Bolts, and four with Bay, two with Margate, and now two with the Scholars!

Remy Bennison has been with Southall this season, making nineteen appearances and scoring two goals. The defender cam through the Academy at Brentford. He was previously with Langley in the Combined Counties League.
