Jammers announce plans for multi-million pound investment

New stand, new terrace, new fitness centre, swimming pool- Maldon and Tiptree launch ambitious expansion plans designed to benefit the whole community

Maldon and Tiptree FC have announced major proposed changes to their stadium, with a new stand, new terrace, hospitality, education centre, fitness and recovery centre, swimming pool…it appears to have so many bells and whistles you'll be able to hear it from space! The multi-million pound project, which will be undertaken by the club in partnership with The Drewitt-Barlow Organisation and Maldon District Council, is outlined in the video below (and we suspect the bit you will be really interested in starts at around four and a half minutes in).

Along with the video, the club released the following statement:

'This ambitious development is more than just bricks and mortar. It’s a heartfelt commitment from the Drewitt-Barlow family to the people of Maldon — a pledge to build something that the entire community can be proud of and enjoy for generations to come. At the heart of this project is a vision to create a vibrant community hub. The new facilities will include a cutting-edge fitness and recovery centre, a stylish open-plan hospitality and banqueting suite, and a modern educational space complete with media facilities to support the football club’s ongoing growth. Fans can also look forward to a brand-new 200-seater stand and a safe standing terrace — giving everyone a great view and unforgettable matchday experience.

But this development isn’t just for match days. It’s for Maldon. From local residents to lifelong fans, the new space will be accessible to the community through exclusive memberships offered to season ticket holders. It will become a home for the men's first team, the soon-to-be-launched ladies' team, and the club’s full-time BTEC academy — providing a positive, inclusive environment for training, education, and wellbeing.

Barrie Drewitt-Barlow of The Drewitt-Barlow Organisation, explained:

"We are excited to share our proposed multi-million pound development plan with the planning department at Maldon District council. We look forward to working with them on this project and bringing it to life for the Maldon community." General Manager and Director Scott Drewitt-Barlow said "I couldn’t be more proud to share this moment with our incredible fans and the people of Maldon. When we said it was time for change, we meant it — and now we’re making it real. This project isn’t just about football; it’s about giving back to a community that’s always stood by us. As a family, we don’t deal in ‘ifs’ or ‘maybes’ — we believe in action, in promises kept, and in building something that truly matters. This is for Maldon. This is for you."

This marks the beginning of an exciting new era for Maldon & Tiptree FC — and for the town itself. It’s a promise delivered, and a future built on pride, passion, and partnership. Together, we are building more than a football club. We are building the pride of Maldon.'
