Former Charlton, QPR, Ipswich and Southend forward Macauley Bonne makes a Maldon move

Maldon and Tiptree strengthened their squad prior to Saturday's Cup tie, bringing in forward Macauley Bonne.

Vastly experienced striker Macauley's career has been played at a much higher level. He played youth football for Ipswich Town, Norwich City and Colchester United before making a first team breakthrough with the latter, and becoming a regular starter. He moved on to Leyton Orient and was rather prolific in front of goal for two seasons, and then was a regular scorer for Charlton Athletic.

Spells at Queens Park Rangers and Ipswich Town came next, before a return to Charlton. he then played for Gillingham and Cambridge United before moving to Southend United at the start of last season.
