Sarnies bash sorry Moles- whilst Moneys, Vale and Hayes also triumph

Egham Town are our Tuesday entertainers, whilst Vale go third, Moneyfields fifth, and Hayes climb out of the bottom four. It’s our South Central round up, in association with Dyno-Rod

Jersey Bulls, Raynes Park Vale, Moneyfields and Westfield all hoped to reduce the gap between themselves and leaders Bognor Regis Town at the top of Pitching In Isthmian South Central- but our Tuesday ended with that gap only slightly smaller, the Rocks seven points clear at the top.

Bulls headed to Windsor and Eton, and the two sides produced six goals- but each left with only a point. The goals tended to arrive in pairs throughout. First, Morgan Elliott put the hosts ahead on thirteen minutes, only for Lorne Bickley to level three minutes later. Then James Sunley put the visitors ahead five minutes after the break, only for Bruno Dos Santos to equalise after one minute more. Finally, in the closing stages James Sunley looked to have won it for Bulls on eighty five minutes, only for Kieran Jordan to level two minutes from time.

Bulls played most of the match with ten men, Jay Giles dismissed on the half hour, so perhaps they will count it a point saved rather than two dropped, but it leaves them seven points behind the leaders in second place. Windsor are thirteenth.

Raynes Park Vale made it five wins from six with victory over Bedfont Sports- and they did it with ten men, too. Vale went ahead just before the break, Nathanael Boakye opening the scoring, but early in the second half they saw Tushaun Walters dismissed. Right at the end Kyen Nicholas saw off any concerns amongst the home fans with a second goal, and Vale climbed to third.

Moneyfields are up to fifth, defeating Ascot United- and indeed making it sixteen points from their last six matches. Tom Cain was the chief architect of their victory, scoring seven minutes before half time and ten minutes after it, with Lui Edwards getting a late goal for the Yellas that proved to be only a consolation. United ended the night fourth from bottom.

Westfield had hopes of climbing to as high as second, but they ended up soundly defeated at Hayes & Yeading United. The goals all arrived in the second half, Amari Fashanu, Remy-Lee Bennison and Kaylen Hinds making it three-nil to the hosts, and it saw Field slip to sixth whilst United climbed to sixteenth.

Egham Town were our big winners, the Sarnies adding yet more misery to Binfield’s already substantial collection. Maddox McMillan opened the scoring on twelve minutes, and on the half hour Connor Cullen made it two from the spot. Cullen quickly added a third, and eleven minutes into the second half it was four-nil, Brad Clayton getting that one.

The Moles faithful did have something to cheer, Quincy Patterson quickly getting a goal back, but they weren’t cheering for too long, Seb Karczewski making it five and Ben Peden adding a sixth. The last word went to the visitors, Gabriel Olla making it six-two, but Binfield are now eight points from safety and still looking for a first victory after nine defeats from ten. Adding in cup/trophy matches and they’ve now played thirteen times and lost twelve of them.

The Sarnies climb to ninth- only a point away from the top seven- and have won three of their last four.

In the Velocity Cup Littlehampton Town were big winners, scoring five goals in the first half against a youthful Sittingbourne side. Harry Heath got two, with Josh Short, Lewis Olajide and Tom Cadman getting the others- and the scoring stopped there. Cobham defeated Hendon on penalties after a two-two draw, the shootout ending seven-six. Luke Gambin and Ben Senior had twice put Cobham ahead during the first ninety minutes of the tie, an own goal and a late equaliser from Florian Ada sending the match to spot kicks.
