Uhlsport Golden Gloves Awards- April 2025

Here are the winners of our latest Golden Gloves Awards - sponsored by the some of the best goalkeeping equipment in the world, provided by uhlsport
Remember, these awards are given on the basis of league matches only- and clubs must have played at least three of those to qualify!
Premier Division
Everything is coming up Horsham at the moment, and the Hornets can now add our Golden Gloves award to their title and our Manager of the Month prize! Lewis Carey will have an April pair of gloves to go with those he won in February, after April brought clean sheets against Canvey Island, Carshalton Athletic and Cray Wanderers, and one goal conceded in victories against Bognor Regis Town and Hashtag United. Many congrats to Lewis, and go well in National League South next season.
North Division
Danny Sambridge ended his time at Grays Athletic with a clean sheet and a goal- a penalty as his side defeated Sporting Bengal United on Saturday- and now he has some golden gloves, too. Athletic also picked up our Manager of the Month Award, so April was a fine month to be an Athletic fan. The month saw Danny deliver three clean sheets from five matches- and concede one goal in victories over Brightlingsea Regent and Redbridge. This left him tied for the award on goals per game, but ahead on matches won and goal difference, so he picks up yet another win.
Congratulations Danny, and good luck for next season wherever you end up.
South Central Division
It’s Yella Wednesday, as Ascot United not only play in our Play Off Semi-Final this evening but pick up our Golden Gloves Award for April. Yellas keeper Mark Scott had a magnificent month, keeping five clean sheets- against Ashford Town, Westfield, Hanworth Villa, Sutton Common Rovers and Badshot Lea. He did concede two against Kingstonian on Saturday as his side clinched a play off place, but we can forgive him that- and another clean sheet against the Villains tonight might get him closer to a rather larger prize!
Congratulations Mark, and the very best of luck.
South East Division
Clean sheets were in short supply across the South East Division during April, with some unexpected and wonderful results and goals galore- but we’re heading to Eastbourne Town for the second time this season, to honour Chris Winterton. Chris picked up this award in February, and he ended April with the best goals per game record for the second time in three months. Clean sheets came against Phoenix Sports and Lancing, and one goal was conceded against East Grinstead Town in a victory- and the same against Littlehampton Town and Merstham.
Many congrats to Chris on a fabulous end to the campaign.
