Vita Risk Solutions: Manager of the Month Award, October 2026

Here are our latest quartet of Vita Risk Solutions Managers of the Month winners- and they manage four clubs who had a magnificent October!

As a reminder, clubs have to play at least three League matches to be eligible- and only League matches count. 

Premier Division

We’re off to the seaside, to deliver a first award of the campaign to Eastbourne Borough boss Steve King. We suspect it might not be the last. 

Borough started the month with a four-nil win over Carshalton Athletic. That was followed by victory over Welling United and a clean sheet, another win and a clean sheet against Three Bridges, victory over Maldon and Tiptree, and finally a two-nil triumph against Ramsgate. Five League matches, five wins, four clean sheets, fifteen points- and a trophy for the boss!

Congrats to Steve- and indeed to all at Priory Lane. 

North Division

It was a fabulous month for Newmarket Town- a month which saw them firmly established as one of our promotion contenders.

The Jockeys played seven times in the League during the month, delivering victories over Grays Athletic, Witham Town, Buckhurst Hill, Fakenham Town and Concord Rangers. Tilbury and Bowers and Pitsea escaped with a point.

Town ended the month in third place in Pitching In Isthmian North, a point behind the leading duo with a game in hand- and it is entirely fitting that boss Michael Shinn takes our prize- his second of the calendar year, and third since the Jockeys joined us.

Many congratulations, Michael- we’ll be heading your way with some beautiful polished glassware shortly! 

South Central Division

Jersey Bulls are having a magnificent campaign. Manager Elliott Powell has steered them to the top of Pitching In Isthmian South Central, and they stand as the only unbeaten side in the entire League!

October was an incredibly packed month for the club. It brought victories over Ascot United, AFC Stoneham, Kingstonian, Raynes Park Vale, Moneyfields, Hendon and AFC Portchester, and draws against Hayes & Yeading United and Windsor & Eton- NINE matches, seven wins, twenty three points from twenty seven- and top spot, as they caught and overtook a Bognor Regis Town side who were eight points ahead of them as recently as October 10th. 

Elliott picked up the last Manager of the Month award of last season- and we suspect he’ll be in contention for a few more before this campaign comes to an end. Many congratulations- and to all at the club.

South East Division

October may not be known as the best month for oysters- that, apparently, is November- but it was a perfect month for the Oysterboys. 

Broadbridge Heath, Croydon Athletic, Steyning Town, South Park Reigate, Sittingbourne, Peacehaven & Telscombe and Erith Town each came up against Whitstable Town, and each of these seven clubs departed their encounters with Lee Martin’s side with absolutely nothing to show for their efforts. Seven matches, twenty one points, twenty one goals scored and only four conceded- results which lifted Town firmly into the promotion picture and delighted the regular inhabitants of the YMS Stadium.

We have a trophy heading to the seaside for Lee, and would like to pass on our congratulations, too. And we wouldn’t want to bet against November being a good month for both oysters and Oysterboys!
