Bantick back at Grays

Sam Bantick returns to Grays Athletic

Grays Athletic celebrated the return of forward Sam Bantick prior to Saturday's FA Trophy match at Hertford Town, and it was like he'd never been away as he scored their opening goal.

Bantick, who started the season at Pitching In Isthmian North rivals Enfield, was a big loss to the club in the summer after scoring twenty two goals last season, so they'll be delighted to have him back in Blue.

Grays Athletic signed Sam in the summer of 22 from Hashtag United. He got ten goals for the Tags during the 22-23 campaign in two spells, and another ten in between those periods with United, when he spent a short time at Coggeshall Town.

Sam has played for a fairly hefty number of Pitching In Isthmian clubs, including Brentwood Town, Canvey Island, Romford, Cambridge City, Enfield Town, Heybridge Swifts, Aveley and Tonbridge Angels. He has guaranteed goals for virtually all of them, so Athletic fans will be delighted to have him back on board.
