Bates back at Hastings

Derby man Jack Bates returns- on loan- to Hastings United

Hastings United have confirmed the loan signing of Derby County midfielder Jack Bates- and he shouldn't need to spend too long getting used to his new surroundings!

Jack was a big success at United during his (even) younger days, before making the move to join the Rams in the summer of last year, aged eighteen. He went on trial with Derby after impressing with United and playing seven times for the first team during the first half of the 21-22 season, a period when he was also chosen for the England Under 18 Schoolboys squad.

Last season made 18 appearances in Premier League 2, as well as playing in the Premier League Cup and Derbyshire Senior Cup.

Hastings boss Chris Agutter told the club:

"Batesy is first and foremost a cracking lad who will add more personality and character to the group-he knows the Club well and understands the expectations of a Hastings Utd player both on and off the pitch. "He is a very intelligent footballer who will add assists and goals from midfield, our forward players will enjoy playing with him no doubt."
