Bowers bring in three

By Ian Townsend

Freddie Price, Tariq Straker and Gabriel Kamavuako are new at Bowers and Pitsea

Prior to Saturday's win at Maldon & Tiptree, Bowers and Pitsea announced three new arrivals- and two of them played a part in that victory.

Gabriel Kamavuako, who can play as a full back or a winger, started the match- and indeed, almost finished it, finally being replaced in added time. He first played in his native Denmark for Holbaek B&I, before being signed by Portsmouth, where he has played for the Under 18 and Under 21 sides. He spent time with Baffins Milton Rovers in the Wessex League last season.

Freddie Price arrives on loan from Premier Division promotion chasers Chatham Town- and made his debut from the bench in the closing stages. The left sided midfielder/forward has been with the Chats since mid January, and has played only once, after starting the season with Concord Rangers, where he made five appearances, scoring in the first.

He spent time on loan in the North Division last season at Heybridge Swifts, when he was still with Colchester United. He made six appearances in black and white, and whilst with Colchester played predominantly for their Under 18 side, as well as for the Under 21's.

Tariq Straker comes in from South Central side Sutton Common Rovers, where he has made fifteen appearances this season. He moved to Rovers from Pitching In Isthmian South East side East Grinstead Town.

He seems to have played only once for the Wasps this season, after making thirty eight appearances during 22-23 and sixteen in the second half of 21-22. The defender was previously with Haywards Heath Town, and he has also played for Epsom & Ewell.
