Bowers sign former Swifts defender

From the North to the Premier, Adeyemi makes a step up

Bowers and Pitsea last week signed former Heybridge Swifts defender Toib Adeyemi.

Adeyemi, whose performances as Swifts won the North Division playoffs last season catapulted him into many of our Supporters Teams of the Year, was surprisingly released by the club in January after making twenty four appearances so far this season. Bowers manager Rob Small snapped him up last week and threw him straight into the fray, as he started in the draws with Cheshunt and Haringey Borough.

The player previously turned out for Bishop's Stortford and Barking.

Where next?

Football Programmes of Yesteryear No. 5: Tooting & Mitcham United v Bournemouth & Boscombe Athletic, FA Cup First Round, November 1958 Prime Minister Harold MacMillan had informed the UK that they had “never had it so good.” He might have been talking directly to Tooting & Mitcham United.
