A Rover comes to Town

Brentwood Town have continued their squad strengthening for the forthcoming season with the signing of Great Wakering Rovers defender Joe Heath. Rovers had the fifth best defensive record in the division last season, and Joe was a big part of that, making twenty nine appearances which included nine clean sheets.

Town manager Adam Flanagan, speaking to the club website, explained:

” I was given a tip-off about Joe last season and made a special trip to watch him. What I saw really impressed me. I spoke with Joe in the summer and told him the direction the club wants to go in and how he could be a massive part in helping his local club achieve this. Joe was happy to come on board and I am excited to see what the upcoming season holds for him.”
