Can the Yellows pour pressure on the Tags?

By Ian Townsend

We’ve one Good Friday match in Pitching In Isthmian North, but it might prove important as AFC Sudbury look to close the gap at the top to three points

With a six point lead and only four games to go, the title is firmly in the hands of Hashtag United- but over the last few games they’ve managed two very, very late wins and a defeat, so perhaps they are feeling the pressure? AFC Sudbury will hope so, and will look to pile more of it on their rivals by adding three points at Maldon & Tiptree tomorrow. The Yellows seem to have rediscovered their mojo in winning their last three, although the Jammers came good in their last match, defeating Sudbury’s promotion rivals Lowestoft Town by five goals to three.

The two last met on December 10th, and the Yellows were late goal specialists on that occasion. A goal down with four minutes to go, efforts from Josh Mayhew and Josh Stokes saw them come back to win two-one. The Yellows have actually won their last three meetings, and indeed the Jammers have taken only two wins from their last twelve against these particular opponents.

The match kicks off rather early- at 1PM.
